The concept in this lobby, which was renovated from the ground up in 2017, was to emanate an air of Mediterranean Sea, Greek tradition and culture.

Two main themes were chosen, one for the entrance and one for the wall behind the reception desk.

The entrance sculpture functions as an apotropaic visual device, inspired by the evil eye, known as “μάτι” (mati), an ancient greek fixture dating back to 6th century BC. The design was printed in several overlapping acrylic shapes.

Coffee tables at the lobby’s waiting area, were made as combined structures of wood and back-printed glass with the main theme , serving as a table top.

The reception artwork echoes the Mediterranean colors and light with simple rectangular screenshots of light reflections on ocean blue, printed on acrylic tiles.
